Embroidery and lace are two traditional crafts which differ according to the region where they are done.
The most well-known are the embroideries from Viana do Castelo (Minho), Castelo Branco (Beiras) and from Nisa (Alentejo). The works are used in the houses but also in the garments which have always a specific regional signature. In Coruche (Lezírias do Tejo/Alentejo) embroidery and lace are also related to a tradition that has centuries: the bullfights.
Embroidery and lace are also created for that purpose and to be used by the human actors of those shows: the bullfighters.
Note: KonzepTours mentions bullfights only as a cultural reference, not as a defender of such tradition.
