Raisins
The raisin comes from small grapes and is dried in the sun becoming a common snack or an ingredient of traditional confectionary.
It has a high content of sugar and goes through a process of natural dehydration before it is consumed. With many benefits, it is a regular presence in several recipes and is a part of the portuguese celebration of New Year’s Eve: with each of the twelve chimes, the portuguese people eat twelve raisins. And some of them even make a wish for each raisin. Wouldn’t it be nice to join this celebration?
